In a touching but sad initiative on October 30, pictures of all the hostages and missing persons from the October 7 massacre were hung on tree branches on the Faculty’s lawn. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering prays for their quick return.

On November 1, a large group of faculty and staff members came together to help a farmer from the moshav Tzrufa. They tied pepper bushes, picked peppers, and assisted with anything they needed.

On November 7, female Faculty employees helped get donations and collect food as part of the Hof HaCarmel war room, which was established to help soldiers. It was both moving and unifying.

November 8 marked 30 days of never-ending sadness since that Black Saturday. Faculty members and staff gathered to light candles in memory of those murdered and fallen, and to pray for the return of the hostages and the healing of the wounded.

On November 12, which marked the beginning of the sixth week of the war, we held a roundtable for Faculty employees, with the participation of the Technion Deputy Director General of Human Resources Ariel Hazan and Executive Vice President and Director General Dr. Rafi Aviram.
