"Swords of Iron" War
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering family mourns the death of its graduates in the Swords of Iron War
In these unbearable times, we all unite to send our encouragement to the IDF soldiers and brave security forces, to the families of the missing persons and hostages, and to the families who lost loved ones
Activities for the abductees, collecting donations for packages for soldiers, help for farmers and more. This is what we did for help and support during the war

Our story

Since its establishment in 1935, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technion has turned out many of Israel’s leading engineers who are currently driving Israeli industry, research and development. Its graduates hold key positions in industries such as high-tech, defense, healthcare, energy and aviation. It is the leading mechanical engineering program in Israel, with enrollment of 1,000 students every year under the guidance of senior academic staff, scientists and industry experts, and with the support of a skilled and professional team of engineers, technicians and administrative personnel.

13:30 - 14:00
Location: Lady Davis Building, Auditorium 250
Soft robotics has emerged as a promising approach for robotic operation in confined and unstructured environments, leveraging compliant materials and deformable structures to achieve adaptability beyond that of traditional rigid-body systems. An important subclass of soft robots is multi-stable robots,...

Location: Lady Davis Building, Auditorium 250
Powered lower-limb exoskeletons are a compelling mechatronic solution for assisted walking, but real-world use depends on more than hardware performance: users must learn how to coordinate their body, the device, and crutches to produce stable, repeatable gait. The image illustrates...

Location: Lady Davis Building, Auditorium 250
Future long-duration space missions will require in-situ, on-demand manufacturing of tools and components. Photopolymer-based processes are attractive for this purpose due to their low energy requirements and volume efficiency. However, photopolymerization generates significant heat, which is difficult to dissipate in...

The foundation of human-robotic collaboration is on solid footing and nearly here. In this talk, I will discuss four on-going projects in The77Lab (MIT-Mechanical Engineering) related to developing simple tools to augment humans, to agricultural robotics (selecting better quality seeds),...

The progression of war is filled with surprises, misjudgments, and complex interactions. This deep uncertainty makes it difficult for traditional predictive models to capture the true dynamics of warfare, often rendering predictions highly unreliable and posing a critical challenge to...

This work investigates Near-isothermal compression using Liquid-Gas Jet Pumps (LGJPs), in which a high-speed liquid jet entrains and then compresses a gaseous working fluid as dispersed bubbles. LGJP are widely treated in the literature as effectively isothermal, but practical efficiency...
