Yoram Hart

Yoram Hart is currently managing the mechanical engineering section  of HP Indigo. The company develops and markets digital printing machines for commercial printing, labels and packaging, direct mail and photo printing. Yoram’s responsibility includes the development of new products as well as  technological improvements of existing products. Yoram has been managing the M.E section since 2009. Over the years, Yoram has been involved in the development of a B2 format printing machine, which was first introduced in 2012. The technology that was developed constitutes a basis for B2 printing machines for various markets, such as printing on flexible packaging and folding cartones.

The mechanical engineering section, which Yoram is responsible for, includes a wide range of fields such as paper feeding systems, ink and fluid handling systems, rotating mechanical systems and a wide variety of multidisciplinary systems.

Between 2002 and 2009, Yoram managed the development of 3 products for the label printing industry, the latest product, the HP Indigo WS6000 Digital Press, was first introduced in 2008 as a major success in the world of label printing and today hundreds of machines installed worldwide. This product is a significant source of income for a wide range of customers. Before that, Yoram was involved in systems engineering issues at Indigo.

From the end of his studies at the Technion until 2001, Yoram worked with CREO in the development of mechanical systems for the printing and direct imaging machines for PCB production.

Yoram holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and an M.E. in Mechanical Engineering 2001.
