Students in the last year of their undergraduate studies are required to submit a final project with the goal of providing them with experience in engineering or scientific work. The project is, in fact, a synthesis of the subjects studied and may also include new topics that students choose to delve into.
Three types of final projects can be submitted:
- Design – design, establishment, and testing of a system or facility.
- Engineering – design of a system, facility, software or a combination of them in a team of up to two students.
- Research project involving a research question. The project can be an experiment, numerical analysis, analytical thesis, or a combination of them by a single student.
While working on their projects, students are required to submit several reports and assignments – an initial report, a monthly report, a mid-term report, the project presentation and a final report. The projects are presented using a poster and/or presentation during the project-presentation day held at the Faculty at the end of the spring semester.
