The Tribology Laboratory at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology was founded in 1990. Its main activities include:
- Fundamental research, both theoretical and experimental, in areas such as contact mechanics, friction, wear, adhesion, lubrication and biotribology.
- Consulting to industry and help in solving problems related to wear reduction, friction energy losses, and increasing reliability and life of mechanical components and systems.
- Educating Ph.D , M.Sc and B.Sc students in Tribology.
