The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure’s Chief Scientist Unit published the projects that will receive the Ministry’s aid totaling NIS 20 million for research and development purposes in energy, soil and marine sciences. In addition to Prof. Greenblatt’s project, 47 other projects by researchers from 15 Israeli research institutions were selected.
Chief Scientist at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructures, Dr. Gideon Friedman, said, “Despite the extensive cuts in the unit’s budget, we made an effort to provide support in a variety of fields and help academic researchers get through this difficult period. Israeli research is excellent and has already proven itself. Supporting it is important to develop the energy sector in an advanced and sustainable economy.”
