In addition to the books, the display includes instruments and machine parts from the recent past of mechanical engineering. At the inauguration, guests were exposed to the fascinating story of Horev, who fought in the Palmach and held several key positions in the defense establishment. Among others, he established the Weapons Department, served as Chief Ordnance Officer and Head of the Technological and Logistics Directorate, and was awarded the Israel Defense Prize.
The exhibition is an initiative of the former Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Emeritus Pinhas Bar-Yosef, and became a reality thanks to the support of the library’s staff, Shelly Imberg and Vered Sayag.
